Oh I Do Like to 'Make & Do' by the Seaside...

B+B Weymouth launches Vintage Make & Do Craft workshops with afternoon teas over-looking Weymouth Sands.

Weymouth in Dorset still has one of the oldest existing Punch & Judy shows, donkey rides on the beach, a fully functioning land train and miles of golden sands; the perfect location for a truly vintage experience. In celebration B+B Weymouth has launched 'Make & Do' Afternoon Teas offering craft lovers the chance to make a range of vintage accessories, to include; broaches, mini memento albums and decorated notes books in the huge guest lounge overlooking Weymouth's beautiful 'Blue Flag' beach. These will take place on Sundays throughout the autumn and winter.

Until the end of 2011, local experts in fishing, photography, writing, golf, and astrology and more will visit the hotel to share their experience and expertise with hotel guests. B+B Weymouth Appoints Emma Carter as New General Manager

B+B Weymouth, the upmarket bed & breakfast located on Weymouth’s seafront, has appointed Emma Carter as General Manager. Ms Carter joined on 8th November 2010 from Moonfleet Manor Hotel.

The appointment complements a raft of new initiatives that have been announced in 2010. B+B Weymouth has recently become the main accommodation provider in a partnership with Ramblers Countrywide Holidays which has created a new Jurassic Coast walking holiday for its 2011 brochure. The property has also joined forces with local companies to offer fishing, baking and even brewing breaks.

B+B Weymouth and Ramblers Countrywide Holidays Union Creates Jurassic Coast Walking Breaks for 2011

B+B Weymouth and Ramblers Countrywide Holidays have joined forces to offer Jurassic Coast walking holidays to those looking to explore and enjoy England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage site by foot. The Dorset and Weymouth walking holidays publicised in the NEW 2011 Ramblers Countrywide Holidays brochure will be available from May next year and mark a new addition to the current portfolio of walking holidays. The relationship has been brokered by Tandem Marketing, the incumbent sales and marketing agency for B+B Weymouth.

Dorset’s very own award-winning chef Mark Hix was also staying at the B+B Weymouth last Saturday as he was participating in Dorset’s Seafood Festival holding cooking demonstrations and judging the Young Seafood Masterchef Finals!

B+B Weymouth SIGNS OFFICIAL OLYMPIC GAMES ACCOMMODATION CONTRACT

The B+B Weymouth has become one of the first bed and breakfasts in Weymouth and Portland to become an official accommodation provider to the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games’ Sailing Event.

The B+B positioned prominently on the seafront by the Kings’ Statue has contracted 50% of its rooms to LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games) for three weeks prior to the Olympic period starting in the July right through to the end of the Paralympic Games in the September 2012.

"Since receiving written approval of the Accommodation Agreement, we have already picked up incremental bookings from individuals visiting the area on Olympic Games business" says Sue Bertram, Sales Director of the B+B.
